Ian Blake was named director within P-Solve's defined benefit business, a spokesman said.
The position is new. Mr. Blake focuses on working with U.K. pension plans to set objectives and implement risk management strategies.
"(Mr. Blake's) appointment reflects our continued commitment to support the evolving needs of our existing and future clients with strong investment consulting expertise," said Ajeet Manjrekar, co-head of P-Solve, in a news release.
Mr. Blake was most recently senior investment consultant and qualified actuary at Willis Towers Watson. A spokesman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
P-Solve, an investment consultant and fiduciary manager, has $35 billion in assets under advisement.
