Jay Huang joined credit specialist CIFC Asset Management as managing director, senior portfolio manager and head of structured credit.
In this new position, Mr. Huang will oversee the firm's structured products business, confirmed Amanda Klein, a company spokeswoman, in an email.
Mr. Huang was managing director and global head of collateralized loan obligation, collateralized debt obligation and distressed structured investment vehicles trading at Citigroup Global Markets.
"Jay is a highly respected, career-long structured credit investor with a track record of exceptional performance through all market cycles," said Oliver Wriedt, co-CEO of CIFC, in the release.
"His significant structured credit expertise, combined with his experience in applying data science concepts and creating cutting-edge trading technology, will add tremendous value to CIFC's investment capabilities as we continue to scale and strengthen our product offerings," Mr. Wriedt added.
CIFC manages $16 billion in U.S. corporate and structured credit strategies.
