Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System, Harrisburg, committed $500 million to Blackstone Infrastructure Partners, documents from the $54.1 billion pension fund show.
At its Jan. 18 meeting, the PennPSERS board agreed to commit to the open-end fund managed by Blackstone Group that targets the infrastructure assets in the energy, transportation, water and waste, and communications sectors primarily across North America.
PennPSERS' real estate investment consultant, Courtland Partners, assisted.
