Marian Elliot was named actuarial director at Redington's defined benefit business, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Ms. Elliot will focus on developing Redington's integrated offering that includes risk management across funding, investment and covenant risks.
"We believe clients are increasingly looking for their DB advisers to be more integrated across investment, funding and covenant considerations and technologically enabled. Redington has a continued belief in an alternative approach to shaping and informing advisory services and we are positioning our business to be at the forefront of both of these needs," Dan Mikulskis, head of defined benefit pensions at Redington, said in a news release.
Ms. Elliot was previously actuarial director at Deloitte. A spokesman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
