David Brief was named senior managing director and head of the Angeles Investment Advisors' new Chicago office, said Michael Rosen, co-founding principal and chief investment officer of the investment consultant.
Also, Brandon Pevnick was named investment officer at the new Chicago office. The positions are new.
Messrs. Brief and Pevnick will be responsible for running the new office and helping Angeles Investment Advisors expand and serve its outsourced CIO clients. Mr. Brief will report to the company's managing members — Leslie Kautz, Howard Perlow and Mr. Rosen — while Mr. Pevnick will report to Mr. Brief.
Messrs. Brief and Pevnick were chief investment officer and senior investment analyst at the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago's investment office, respectively. The foundation has since moved to an OCIO model for its pooled endowment portfolio, which is now being managed by Edgehill Endowment Partners, said foundation spokesman Joel Schatz.
Angeles Investment Advisors works in an OCIO capacity for clients with combined assets of $7 billion.
