Illinois Teachers' Retirement System, Springfield, is searching for a real estate co-investment consultant.
The hire will be the $49.9 billion pension fund's first for a consultant to advise and perform due diligence on potential real estate co-investment deals.
TRS' real estate portfolio totals $7 billion and does not include co-investments. Courtland Partners is the fund's general real estate consultant and may bid, confirmed spokesman David Urbanek.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. CDT Feb. 21. Finalist interviews will take place in March and April and a selection will likely will take place during a May 25 board meeting.
