Knox County, Knoxville, Tenn., hired USI Consulting Group as investment consultant for the county's three defined benefit plans, said Matt Myers, county director of procurement, in an email.
The county issued a request for qualifications in June. The other finalist was Summit Strategies Group.
The RFQ had been issued because the contract of current consultant Wilshire Associates was due to expire; the firm did rebid.
The three plans, all closed, are the $159 million Knox County Uniformed Officers Pension Plan, $57 million Knox County Teachers Retirement Plan and $43 million Knox County Closed Defined Benefit Plan.
