Jason Nabi was named head of innovation at HSBC Securities Services, part of the bank's global banking and markets division, confirmed a spokesman.
The role is new. Mr. Nabi has global responsibility for establishing and managing new initiatives for custodian, focusing on technology, digital and data strategies, said the spokesman. He reports to John van Verre, global head of custody at HSBC Securities Services,
Mr. Nabi had worked at financial technology company Paxos; a spokesman could not be reached for comment.
