Kevin Byrne was named CEO of Pacific Global Asset Management, the rebranded asset management unit of Pacific Life Insurance Co., a spokesman said in an email.
It is a new position. Mr. Byrne reports to Adrian Griggs, Pacific Life Insurance Co.'s executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Mr. Byrne had been senior vice president of finance and risk management for Pacific Life's retirement solutions division. Those duties were assumed by Joe Celentano, Pacific Life's former chief risk officer.
Pacific Global Asset Management has $14 billion in assets under management across fixed income, equity and alternatives. It is made up of Pacific Asset Management, Cadence Capital Management and Pacific Private Fund Advisors. Pacific Global Asset Management was previously referred to as Pacific Asset Advisors, a name used internally only and not for any client relationships, the spokesman said.
