Tim Youmans was named engagement director at Hermes Investment Management, confirmed spokeswoman Hannah James.
The position is new. Mr. Youmans will be responsible for enhancing the activities of Hermes EOS, the firm's stewardship and engagement team, in North America. He will be based in New York and report to Bruce Duguid, head of stewardship at Hermes EOS.
Mr. Youmans was research director at the CECP, a non-profit organization. He was replaced by Brian Tomlinson, a strategic investor initiative fellow at CECP, confirmed spokeswoman Jackie Albano.
Hermes has £30.8 billion ($41.8 billion) in assets under management.
