Bob Collie joined the not-for-profit investment research organization the Thinking Ahead Institute as head of research for the Thinking Ahead Group, said a spokeswoman.
The position is new. Willis Towers Watson's Thinking Ahead Group is the executive team to the institute, which has more than 40 institutional investment organization members responsible for a combined $13 trillion in assets.
Mr. Collie, who is based in the U.K., "is a highly regarded author of research covering a wide range of investment topics and is a proven leader of consulting and research practices," said Tim Hodgson, head of the Thinking Ahead Group and a founder of the institute, in a news release. "He joins us at a time of accelerating change in the investment industry where our research is gaining traction because it points to a better investment world in which the end saver is prioritized."
Mr. Collie was chief research strategist responsible for the generation, capture and delivery of strategic research to institutional clients in the U.S. at Russell Investments. "We were happy to see Bob find this new role in the U.K.." a spokesman said. "We have many skilled professionals in our research, consulting and investment teams that collectively drive our research agenda. ... This group also drives our thought leadership agenda."
