Michael Gleason joined Acadian Asset Management as a senior vice president and portfolio manager on the firm's global long/short equity hedge fund team.
It's a new position. In addition to portfolio management duties, Mr. Gleason also has responsibility for coordinating research for the long/short equity team and across the firm's broader research team, said Carolyn Hamm, a company spokeswoman, in an email.
Mr. Gleason was co-founder, managing partner and portfolio manager of hedge fund firm GCI Capital Partners. Brian M. Matthews, managing partner of GCI Capital Partners, did not return a call seeking information about Mr. Gleason's replacement.
Acadian Asset Management manages about $3 billion in global long/short equity strategies.
