Daniel Green was named head of private equity secondaries for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Deutsche Asset Management, a spokesman said.
The position is new. Mr. Green focuses on underserved and difficult-to-access secondary market opportunities, as well as unique private market situations.
"Daniel brings significant investment acumen and relationships to our platform, which positions us well for growth and delivering value to our clients and investors globally," Mark McDonald, global head of private equity secondaries, said in a news release.
Mr. Green was most recently head of EMEA private markets at Meketa Investment Group, where he led its European investment activities across private markets. A spokesman could not be reached about a replacement.
Deutsche Asset Management has €77 billion ($93 billion) in alternatives under management.
