Joseph M. Carrabes was named senior managing director and head of institutional distribution, North America at Amundi Pioneer Asset Management, confirmed spokeswoman Robin Schoen.
He replaced Bill Porter, who left the company. Ms. Schoen did not know where Mr. Porter went or why he left.
Effective Monday, Mr. Carrabes will oversee sales, relationship management and consultant relations in the U.S. and Canada for institutional strategies managed by Amundi Pioneer and its parent company, Amundi. He will report to Amundi Pioneer CEO Lisa Jones.
Mr. Carrabes was managing director, head of institutional sales and client service at Jennison Associates. It could not be learned if he was replaced; a Jennison spokeswoman could not be immediately reached for comment.
Amundi Pioneer had $88.1 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
