Dascia Bennett was named CEO at Super SA, the Adelaide-based superannuation fund for South Australian public-sector employees.
Ms. Bennett replaces John Montague, who served as the A$26 billion ($19.5 billion) fund’s general manager. A spokesman for the fund said starting with Ms. Bennett, the title for that leadership position has been changed to chief executive.
The spokesman couldn’t provide details on Mr. Montague’s plans.
Ms. Bennett comes to Super SA from NGS (Non-Government Schools) Super, an A$8 billion fund based in Melbourne, where she served as “head of customer,” a Super SA news release said.
A spokeswoman for NGS said in an email, "due to a structural change within the fund, which saw an internal reorganization and new executive hires, Dascia Bennett's role has not been filled."
Ms. Bennett said in a telephone interview Thursday that she’ll look to build on the strong foundation Mr. Montague and his predecessor, Stephen Rowe, put in place at Super SA, with a focus on further delivering a “customer-centric” experience for the fund’s 220,000 members.
