Chicago Public School Teachers' Pension & Retirement Fund plans to issue an RFP for a small-cap growth equity manager in the next few weeks, a pension fund spokeswoman said in an email.
An allocation size, funding source and timeline for a hiring decision was not available. The RFP is expected to be posted on the pension fund's website.
Separately, the $9.8 billion pension fund hired Wellington Management to manage $200 million in active fixed income.
Funding sources could not immediately be learned. An RFP for active fixed-income managers was issued in July.
Additionally, the pension fund hired Basis Investment Group and Longpoint Realty Partners to run $30 million and $20 million in real estate, respectively.
An RFP for real estate managers certified as minority-, women-, or disabled person-owned business enterprises was issued in August.
As of June 30, the pension fund had 30.5% targets each to domestic equity and international equity, a 23% fixed-income target and a 9% real estate target.
