Michael Crabtree was named CEO of the Central Pension Fund of the International Union of Operating Engineers & Participating Employers, Washington, a spokeswoman confirmed.
Effective Jan. 1, he replaces Michael Fanning, who is retiring.
Mr. Crabtree will oversee the $16.9 billion pension fund. He is currently the pension fund's counsel. His replacement has yet to be determined, the spokeswoman said.
