Richard Nuzum was named president of Mercer's global wealth business, spokesman Bruce Lee confirmed in an email.
Mr. Nuzum replaced Jacques Goulet, president of Mercer's global wealth and health businesses, who left the company to become to president of Sun Life Financial Canada.
Mr. Nuzum will oversee Mercer's global wealth business, which is the firm's combined investment and retirement consulting practices. He will report to Julio Portalatin, president and CEO of Mercer. Martine Ferland, president, Europe and Pacific, and Ken Haderer, president, North America, will co-lead the firm's global health business.
Mr. Nuzum was the wealth leader for Mercer's growth markets. A replacement will be named in due course, Mr. Lee said.
