Samantha Lowry was named director of institutional markets at Glenmede Investment Management, confirmed spokeswoman Sheila Kulik.
The position is new. Ms. Lowry will focus on developing new business opportunities among institutional investors, primarily through investment consultants. She will report to Jeff Coron, director of institutional distribution.
Ms. Lowry was director of institutional relationship management for Penn Capital Management. Spokesman David Jordan could not be immediately reached for comment on a replacement.
Glenmede Investment Management is a Philadelphia-based manager with $17.6 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
