Purna Bhudia was named head of credit at the Pension Protection Fund, London.
Ms. Bhudia is responsible for in-house public and private market strategies. Her appointment will further develop the fund's pound-sterling investment-grade credit capabilities, said a news release. The PPF has been moving some management activities in-house since 2016. Whether the role is new could not be learned.
She was a senior credit analyst at Legal & General Investment Management. Further details were not immediately available.
A spokeswoman for the PPF was not available to comment. The PPF is the U.K.'s £29.6 billion ($39.6 billion) lifeboat fund for the defined benefit plans of insolvent companies.
