Twelve consultants have been appointed to a new U.K. national local government pension scheme funds framework for investment consultancy services.
The consultants replace those on a panel launched in 2013, but the framework has been restructured with a new scope, said Nigel Keogh, national LGPS frameworks operations and development manager. The changes reflect the current and future needs of the LGPS funds, including arrangements for the pooling of their assets into eight funds.
The new framework is available for the procurement of investment consultancy, investment manager search and selection, and specialist investment consultancy-related project services. It is open to all LGPS administering authorities, their pool partners and the wider public sector, said a news release by National LGPS Frameworks.
Mr. Keogh said bids were evaluated in September with contracts awarded Oct. 11.
Contracts are divided into three lots. Appointed to a panel for investment consultancy services is Aon Hewitt, Deloitte, Hymans Robertson, JLT Employee Benefits, KPMG, Mercer, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Redington.
The second lot, for manager search, selection, monitoring and review services, consists of Allenbridge, Aon Hewitt, bfinance, Hymans Robertson, JLT Employee Benefits, KPMG, Mercer and Redington.
For the final lot, invesmtent management consultancy-related specialist services, Allenbridge, Alpha FMC, Aon Hewitt, bfinance, Hymans Robertson, JLT Employee Benefits, KPMG, Mercer, PwC, Redington and The Smart Cube were appointed.
