Texas Employees Retirement System, Austin, committed a total of $140 million to two private investment funds in November, a transaction report for the $27.8 billion pension fund showed.
The pension fund committed $100 million to Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund III.
Previously, ERS committed $68 million to the prior fund in the series managed by Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners in November 2015, as well as $10 million to a co-investment associated with same fund in July 2016. The fund also committed $40 million to Stonepeak Communication Holdings in December 2015.
Cotton Creek Capital Partners III was awarded a $40 million commitment. Cotton Creek Capital is a new private equity manager for the Texas public employees' fund.
