Chris Cho joined Adams Street Partners as a principal in Seoul to lead the Chicago-based private markets investment manager's newly opened client service and business development office there,
Mr. Cho comes from Lazard Asset Management's Seoul office, where he served as a vice president on the sales and marketing team.
A Lazard spokesman declined to comment on a replacement.
An Adam Street Partners news release regarding the opening of its 10th office globally said establishing a local presence was critical to appropriately serving the firm's South Korean clients, as well as providing a vantage point to "take advantage of private market opportunities in the region."
The Seoul office becomes Adams Street Partners' fourth in the Asia-Pacific region, following offices in Tokyo, Singapore and Beijing.
