OppenheimerFunds recruits head of sustainable investing

Aniket Shah was named head of sustainable investing at OppenheimerFunds, spokesman Patrick Phalon said.

The position is new. Mr. Shah will work with OppenheimerFunds' portfolio managers and investment strategy specialists to further integrate sustainable investing practices across the firm's business activities. He will report to Sharon French, head of beta solutions.

Mr. Shah was head of financing for sustainable development at the U.N. Sustainable Development Solutions Network. A spokesman for the network could not be immediately reached.

OppenheimerFunds managed more than $246 billion in assets as of Nov. 30.
