Adeline Ng will join Aviva Investors in Singapore Dec. 11 as head of Asian fixed income.
The position is a new one at the firm, said a spokeswoman.
Ms. Ng had been head of Asian fixed income at BNP Paribas Asset Management. A BNP Paribas Asset Management spokesman confirmed Ms. Ng's departure, and said the firm is bringing its Asian fixed-income and global emerging markets debt teams under "a single leadership" — headed by Bryan Carter, London-based head of the emerging markets debt investment team — "with a view to enhancing its research capabilities and creating an emerging markets debt hub in Asia."
Likewise, the Aviva spokeswoman said a "head of Asian credit" position at the firm has been eliminated, with Ms. Ng taking on those responsibilities. Jethro Goodchild, head of Asian credit at Aviva, will leave the firm at the end of December to pursue other opportunities, according to an Aviva news release. Mr. Goodchild couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
