Michael DuCharme was named director, currency solutions at Mesirow Financial, confirmed spokeswoman Nancy Gonzales in an email.
The position is new. Mr. DuCharme will report to Joe Hoffman, CEO of currency management
Mr. DuCharme had previously worked at Russell Investments. He had been employed at Russell for 17 years; his most recent position was head of currency strategy.
A Russell spokesman did not respond to an email as to whether Mr. DuCharme had been replaced.
Mesirow Financial had around $77 billion invested by institutional clients in currency overlay strategies as of Sept 30.
