Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, Nashville, made two new private equity commitments totaling up to $365 million, said Shelli King, spokeswoman for Treasurer David H. Lillard Jr., who oversees the pension fund, in an e-mail.
The $44.4 billion pension fund committed up to $200 million to Olympus Growth Fund VII, a buyout fund managed by Olympus Partners. The pension fund previously committed $75 million to Olympus Growth Fund VI in 2013.
The pension fund also committed up to $150 million directly and $15 million in co-investments to Quantum Energy Partners VII, which focuses on upstream North American oil and gas opportunities.
As of June 30, the pension fund's allocation to private equity was 3.9%; the target is 3%.
