Philip Dawes was named head of institutional sales for the U.K. and Ireland at BNP Paribas Asset Management, a spokesman said.
It is a newly created position. Mr. Dawes, who is based in London, joined the money manager on Nov. 20 and reports to Charles Janssen, head of institutional sales for Europe. Mr. Dawes is responsible for developing the money manager's U.K. institutional business, along with developing product strategy.
He was previously with Allianz Global Investors for 16 years in a variety of roles including head of U.K. institutional, said Allianz spokesman Alastair Fairbrother in an email. He did not say which position was most recent or if he was replaced.
BNP Paribas Asset Management has €571 billion ($681 billion) in assets under management and advisement.
