Francisco Partners closed the largest fund in its history, the $3.975 billion Francisco Partners V, a buyout fund, said Peter J. Siwinski, spokesman, in an email.
The fund held its final close on Nov. 16. Francisco Partners' prior fund, Francisco Partners IV, closed with $2.875 billion in 2015. Francisco Partners invests in technology companies.
Investors in the latest fund include the $23.3 billion San Francisco City & County Employees' Retirement System; $2.2 billion Oklahoma Police Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City; and University of Houston System's $572 million endowment.
