John Howland-Jackson was named Europe, Middle East and Africa CEO at Nikko Asset Management, said a spokeswoman.
Mr. Howland-Jackson, who is also chairman of Nikko Asset Management Europe, takes on the role Jan. 1. He replaces Udo von Werne, who is leaving the firm to pursue new opportunities.
Based in London, Mr. Howland-Jackson will be responsible for all aspects of the firm's business across the EMEA region.
Nikko also said Ian Lewis was appointed head of EMEA sales and global head of consultant relations, a new position, effective Dec. 1. He retains his current responsibilities as head of consultant relations.
Nikko Asset Management has $184.1 billion in assets under management.
