The $15.3 million Sault Ste. Marie (Mich.) Police and Fire Retirement System is searching for an investment consultant to provide advisory services such as manager search assistance, performance measurement and reporting, and asset allocation studies.
The search is part of the pension board's implementation of best practices, which includes regular review of service provider contracts, said Kristin Collins, finance director for the city.
Fund Evaluation Group, the fund's long-tenured consultant, is invited to rebid on the contract, Ms. Collins said.
Proposals are due by 4 p.m. on Nov. 30, according to the RFP.
Ms. Collins said an investment consultant likely will be hired by the board in December or January.
