Lake County, Ill., is searching for a consultant for its 457(b) plan, said an RFP on the county's purchasing website.
According to the RFP, "the county's 457(b) plan with Nationwide has outgrown the prototype program; thus, the county no longer can be 'auto invested' by Nationwide and fiduciarily, Lake County is responsible for choosing investment options for the plan that will be offered to employees."
The selected consultant will provide assistance in developing an investment policy and selecting investment options, compliance consulting and support, plan optimization and strategic planning, among other services.
Further information on the plan's relationship with Nationwide and the plan's asset size could not immediately be learned.
The RFP is available on the county's purchasing website. Registration is required. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. CST on Nov. 30. A hiring decision is expected by Jan. 16.
A purchasing official could not immediately provide further information.
