Reading (Mass.) Retirement System is looking for an investment consultant.
The search is being conducted at the request of a few new board members who want to make sure the portfolio is getting the best returns, said Colleen Loughlin, retirement administrator for the $124 million defined benefit plan.
The pension system currently invests through the $67 billion Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board, Boston.
A copy of the RFP can be obtained by requesting one from Ms. Loughlin via email. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. EST on Dec. 15. A selection is expected to be made sometime in February, Ms. Loughlin said.
