Vickram David was named president of global long/short equity hedge fund manager Kingdon Capital Management.
In the new position, Mr. David will liaise with the firm's executive committee as he manages business operations and strategic initiatives, including recruitment, said Edward Rowley, a company spokesman, in an email.
Mr. David will retain his positions as head of strategy and investor relations and member of the executive committee.
Mr. David reports to Mark Kingdon, founder, managing partner and CEO.
Kingdon Capital managed $1.7 billion as of June 30.
