Johnnie Yung joined State Street Global Advisors in Hong Kong as head of portfolio strategists for Asia ex-Japan, the money manager announced Tuesday.
He will report to Jonathan Shead, SSGA's Australia-based head of portfolio strategists for Asia-Pacific, according to an SSGA news release.
Mr. Yung replaces Mark Valadao, who left to pursue other opportunities, said a spokeswoman for the firm. Mr. Valadao couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
Mr. Yung comes to SSGA from BlackRock, where he served as director and head of beta strategies portfolio management, Asia ex-Japan, the SSGA news release said.
