Paul Jeffries was named executive director, business development at Robeco, said a spokeswoman.
The position is new, and Mr. Jeffries works with U.K.- and Ireland-based institutional investors and their consultants.
He is responsible for further developing the firm's institutional client base in the U.K. He reports to Peter Walsh, head of Robeco U.K., and is based in London.
Mr. Jeffries' "technical strength and client-centric approach make him an excellent fit for Robeco," said Mr. Walsh in a news release. "His professionalism and highly respected reputation in the U.K. will boost our efforts to grow further in this strategically important market. We have strong momentum to grow our London operations, building upon our key capabilities in the areas of sustainability integration, credit, emerging market and quantitative investing."
Mr. Jeffries held a similar position at AQR Capital Management, said the release. A spokeswoman for AQR declined to comment.
Robeco has £6 billion ($7.9 billion) in U.K. assets under management.
