Orange County Employees Retirement System, Santa Ana, Calif., committed $150 million to two energy funds, according to a report emailed by Robert Kinsler, spokesman for the $14.9 billion pension fund.
The pension fund committed $100 million to EnCap Energy Capital Fund XI, managed by EnCap Investments, and $50 million to EnCap Flatrock Midstream Fund IV, said Mr. Kinsler's report of the investment committee's Oct. 25 meeting. OCERS had voted to commit $40 million to a prior EnCap fund in 2010 but discontinued contract negotiations two months later.
