Robert van Zwieten is stepping down as president and CEO of EMPEA on Nov. 5, the Washington-based emerging market private equity association announced Thursday.
An EMPEA board search committee has been formed to find his replacement.
EMPEA praised Mr. van Zwieten in a statement, saying that "under his leadership, EMPEA adopted an ambitious long-term, strategic plan and made tremendous progress in putting that plan into action. The organization is more relevant and valuable to our member firms, and the association's stature as convener, researcher and industry leader has grown."
