Ohio State Teachers' Retirement System, Columbus, made three new commitments totaling up to $250 million, said Nick Treneff, spokesman, in an email.
The $75.1 billion pension fund committed up to $125 million to Francisco Partners V, a buyout fund managed by Francisco Partners Management. The pension fund previously made commitments to Francisco Partners IV and Francisco Partners Agility Fund. As of Aug. 31, the pension fund had $10 million and $3 million invested in those funds, respectively.
The pension fund also committed up to $100 million to Tiger Iron Great River Fund, a venture capital fund of funds managed by Tiger Iron Capital, and up to $25 million to Redpoint Omega III, a venture capital fund managed by Redpoint Ventures. The latter two commitments are first-time commitments for STRS to those managers, Mr. Treneff said.
