Dan Morris was named global head of portfolio solutions within the multiasset solutions team at Wells Fargo Asset Management, confirmed spokesman Peter Greenley in an email.
The position is new. Mr. Morris will report to Nicolaas Marais, president of WFAM and head of multiasset solutions.
Wells Fargo Asset Management CEO Kristi Mitchem, who joined the firm last year, has made building out the multiasset team a key priority.
The team manages around $40 billion of the firm's $496 billion in assets under management.
Mr. Morris will be based in London and was head of U.S. portfolio solutions at Schroder Investment Management. A Schroders spokesman was not immediately available for comment on a replacement.
Mr. Greenley also confirmed that Martijn De Vree and Frank Cooke joined the multiasset solutions team. Mr. De Vree had been a senior solutions expert at Insight Investment. Mr. Cooke joined from Mercer's Hong Kong office, where he was a senior investment consultant.
Wells Fargo officials were unable to provide immediate details on their new titles, and officials from Insight and Mercer were not available to comment on replacements.
