Textron Inc., Providence, R.I., contributed $311 million to its pension plans during the quarter, according to its third-quarter earnings statement.
Textron also plans to contribute a total of $355 million to its pension plans this year.
Textron had $6.784 billion in plan assets and $7.991 billion in projected benefit obligations for a funded status of 84.9% as of Dec. 31, 2016, according to its most recent 10-K filing.
