Sudhir Rajkumar was named representative of the secretary-general for the investment of the assets of the $61.5 billion United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund, New York, said Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, in an email.
Mr. Rajkumar has been appointed by to succeed Carol Boykin, who has served a full term at the post, Mr. Haq said. A start date for Mr. Rajkumar, who will report directly to Mr. Guterres, has yet to be determined. Ms. Boykin, the first person to hold the top investment officer post created in October 2014, will stay on until Mr. Rajkumar succeeds her, Mr. Haq said.
Mr. Rajkumar is currently head of the global pension advisory program at the World Bank Treasury; he could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
