Frank Vihant was named head of infrastructure debt Canada at Aviva Investors.
The position is new, an Aviva spokeswoman said. Aviva is looking to expand its infrastructure origination capabilities to its global clients, the spokeswoman said. Mr. Vihant will report to Darryl Murphy, head of infrastructure debt.
Mr. Vihant was chief financial officer and senior vice president of business development at investment bank Corpfinance International.
Aviva investors managed £351 billion ($455 billion) as of June 30, including £5 billion in infrastructure debt assets.
