Keiko Kondo will join Schroder Investment Management in Hong Kong as deputy head of multiasset investments for Asia.
She will start in that newly created role on Oct. 23, reporting to Patrick Brenner, head of multiasset investment Asia. A spokesman for the firm said Ms. Kondo's Asia-Pacific duties will include Japan but not Australia.
Ms. Kondo will come to Schroders from UBS Asset Management, where she served as head of multiasset, Asia-Pacific, responsible for managing the multiasset portfolios of institutional clients, according to a Schroders news release. A UBS spokesman couldn't immediately say if a replacement had been named.
In the news release, Johanna Kyrklund, the firm's global head of multiasset investments, said the business, with more than $82 billion globally, "continues to grow in Asia," driven by investor demand for multiasset, outcome-oriented solutions.
