Mark Walker was named chief investment officer at Coal Pension Trustee Services, Sheffield, England, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Walker will replace Stefan Dunatov effective Jan. 1, the spokeswoman added. Mr. Dunatov left the pension fund to become senior vice president, investment risk, strategy and research at British Columbia Investment Management Corp.
Coal Pension Trustee Services manages the assets of the £10.5 billion ($14 billion) Mineworkers' Pension Scheme and the £9.6 billion British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme. Both pension funds are closed to new employees.
Mr. Walker was previously global CIO for Unilever's pension funds. A spokeswoman was not available to comment about a replacement.
