Franklin Regional Retirement System, Greenfield, Mass., is searching for a core fixed-income manager to run about $16 million.
Dahab Associates, investment consultant to the $135 million defined benefit plan, is assisting with the search.
The pension fund issued an RFP because of a Massachusetts state law requiring services be put up for bid every seven years, said Gregory A. McNeillie, vice chairman and principal at Dahab. Current manager Income Research & Management is invited to rebid.
The RFP is available on Dahab's website. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. EDT Nov. 2. A selection is expected to be made by the end of the year, Mr. McNeillie said.
