William Jarvis was named market strategy and delivery executive at U.S. Trust, confirmed spokeswoman Julia L. Ehrenfeld.
The position is new, and Mr. Jarvis will be based in New York. He will focus on strategic thought leadership with clients, including clients in the firm's institutional business.
U.S. Trust is part of the global wealth and investment management business of Bank of America. The unit manages more than $400 billion in assets under management, including around $31.2 billion of institutional assets in portfolio management, strategic planning, administrative and governance advisory solutions.
Mr. Jarvis previously had been employed at Commonfund, working as executive director of the Commonfund Institute.
Tony Ialeggio, head of marketing for Commonfund, said in a statement that John Griswold, the founder of the Commonfund Institute and its former executive director, has returned to the institute to replace Mr. Jarvis in the capacity of interim executive director.
