Hans Sterte was named head of investment management at Swedish occupational pension fund provider Alecta, said a spokesman.
Mr. Sterte will replace Tony Persson, head of fixed income and strategy who has been serving as acting head of investment management. He took on the responsibilities from Per Frennberg, who left May 31.
Mr. Sterte will start in the first quarter of 2018, added the spokesman.
The firm has about 800 billion Swedish kronor ($100.3 billion) in assets.
Mr. Sterte joins from Skandia, where he was head of asset management. Anders Jonsson, head of institutional sales, has been appointed acting head of asset management, a spokesman said.
