Merced County (Calif.) Employees' Retirement Association will launch a search for a general investment consultant before the end of 2017, said Kristen Santos, retirement plan administrator, in an email.
The $750 million pension fund will issue an RFP in November or December due to the pending expiration of current consultant Verus Advisory's contract in March 2018; Verus will be invited to rebid.
A specific timeline for the RFP has yet to be determined; it will be posted on the county's purchasing division website.
