Kito de Boer joined Abraaj Group as managing partner, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. de Boer oversees Abraaj's impact investing business and the group's global efforts to deploy private capital. It could not be learned whether it is a new position.

(Mr. de Boer) has demonstrated both a commitment to these aspirations and a professional excellence that matches (them)," said Arif Naqvi, founder and group CEO, in a news release.
Mr. de Boer was head of mission of the Office of the Quartet based in Jerusalem, focusing on the economic track of the Middle East peace process. Prior to that position, Mr. de Boer spent 29 years with McKinsey & Co.
Abraaj Group has $11 billion in assets under management.
